A healthy lifestyle starts the moment you wake up. YOU get to decide how you want your day to be. Sometime we do hear the term "waking up on the wrong side of bed" but it's just a term to give an excuse for another negative unproductive day. So get up, get dress and give the day your best. Even when you think you aren't, you are actually giving the best and that matters because you understand yourself more than anybody else.

Personally I think a healthy lifestyle is something that is easy to achieve but to be able to maintain it on a daily basis can be quite hard for some due to the environment etc. Being physically fit isn't the only way to a healthy lifestyle. There are many ways you can achieve it and I'm here to share you some ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle for your body and soul.

Everything starts by making the first step.

1) Power of Mind

Studies show that having personality traits like optimism can affect many areas of your health and well being. Having a positive attitude can boost your energy, inspire others and garner fearlessness when facing difficult challenges. Positive thinking not only help to decrease depression but also to reduce levels of distress, enabling you to cope with hardships.

Here are a few ways to adopt a positive mental attitude:

  • Self Talk
It is an internal dialogue you have with yourself. It's how you convince yourself what you want to do and the mindset you put yourself in. These thoughts can be positive or negative. 


  • Positive Environment

Surrounding yourself with positive energy and people. It's actually very influencing to surround yourself with people who gives out positive vibes. If you get too close to a drowning victim, they may take you down with them. 


  • Control Negative Thoughts

This may not be easy but you can accomplish them by seeing a glass half full rather than half empty. Also stay the middle ground and don't view everything in extreme to help reduce your highs and lows.


  • Set Realistic and Achievable Goals

There's no wrong in setting a high bar unless you beat yourself up for not achieving it. The key is to build confidence by setting realistic goals and achieving them without setting disappointment to yourself. 


    2) Healthy Nutrients


Having healthy nutrition in our body is commonly the first line of defence against diseases such as diabetic etc. For instance, you can speak to a doctor about safe and effective treatments if you have problems with obesity or diet. 


It is always best to eat healthy and maintain a balance diet, even if you have no medical condition. Having a healthy diet can lead to a healthy lifestyle. Be sure to also maintain a regular exercising routine. There's no need for intense workouts at the gym but keeping yourself active and fit helps maintain a positive outlook for your health, physically and mentally. It would be more fun and easy if you set a routine so that you have enough physical activity each day.


    3) Do What You Love

    Having to enjoy activities you love like gardening, baking or painting etc, can also help keep yourself healthy. It's the small joy of doing what you enjoy while keeping your mood happy.

    Find an activity you love to do, either with your love one or by yourself to keep you engage and joyful. I find this very helpful as I can do what I love after a long day or having to find an activity to do with my love ones.
